Linocut : The process

It’s easy to make up a graphic on computer and print it at your local printers.

For me this traditional form of printing offers so much more spontaneity and the outcome is both visually bold and striking.

Each and every mark is made by me, using a handheld gouger I cut a design into linoleum for a linocut print. Yes, it’s time consuming but the outcome is so rich, every mark made, be it intended or by mistake is completely unique.
